FBO Services

FBOs offer a range of services including aircraft refueling, ground handling, ramp and/or hangar parking, GPU (ground power unit – an electric power supply) access, oxygen and lavatory services, aircraft maintenance, catering, rental car and hotel booking and general concierge services.

FBO’s are for both business and general aviation aircraft. From a small single engine going up for a Saturday morning flight, to a large corporate jet in town for a few nights while the passengers are on a business venture- FBO’s like Flight Solutions provide a top-notch service and peace of mind that your aircraft and passengers are in good hands.

Picking an FBO is often based on a few variables. Is there room in the hangar? Do they provide in-house maintenance? Are their fees and fuel prices competitive?  The services and fees provided by an FBO can vary, so it is smart to confirm any additional services prior to arriving at the airport.

Most FBO’s have scheduled hours- with 24/7 afterhours service available.  Flight Solutions is equipped to handle your needs any time of the day or night.

Usually, the best way to reach an FBO ahead of time is to call or email. Calling prior to your arrival is recommended because there is a standard allotment of questions the FBO will need to know so they can best assist. These questions usually include: the tail number of the aircraft, departure dates and times, any fuel purchase or if there are additional services required. Line service crews also monitor the common traffic advisory frequency or “CTAF” for arriving traffic.

FBOs offer a host of amenities including passenger and pilot lounges, wi-fi connectivity, restrooms, refreshments, flight planning offices, printer access, as well as additional services for aircraft like hangar space parking and detailing. Flight Solutions is equipped to handle any request- no matter how large or small.

Depending on the airport, FBO’s can handle incoming international arrivals. This would only be the case if you are landing at an International Airport, such as Nashville International Airport, that has US Customs capabilities. Once you’ve stopped at a US International Airport and cleared customs, then you are free to land at any airport after. If the FBO doesn’t have their own team the main commercial airline customs agents can often come on board the aircraft and clear the passengers there.

Yes. Standard fees include a facility fee, overnight or monthly hangar fee, landing fee, handling fee, etc. The fees largely depend on what FBO you decide to land with, and most will waive certain fees with a purchase of fuel.

Most FBO’s have complimentary parking for pilots and passengers so they can leave their car at the facility while they are traveling. Flight Solutions has a private gated facility so you can feel at ease leaving your car with us while you enjoy your travels.
